Confirmation Candles Indicator For ThinkorSwim

@Christopher84 Hope your doing good. I use the Scalper Strategy more than anything else just by itself. Is it possible to add profit and loss bubbles to the scalper like you have in your new TS Strategy? This is the code you shared in message #1,106

Hi @Falout!
I am really happy to hear you are making good use of the Scalper! Per your request I have included the fib coefficient targets and posted the new code for Scalper v3 underneath the original scalper on pg.1 of the thread. I hope you find it helpful. Thanks for all of your feedback!

... posted the new code for Scalper v3 ...

Be still, my heart  Thank you for the update! Just exited a cattle short with Scalper v2. The bias label kept me in the trade when I was tempted to bail before hitting the target. Wasn't the most profitable trade of my life. But it was a nice enough scalp that I'll be celebrating with steak for lunch:cool:

Thank you again for everything you share with us! Just when I thought I was finished for the day, you give us something else and now I have to adjust my charts ... again:LOL:

The signal was on Friday but I am not an afternoon trader. I saw the gap down at this morning's open and jumped in even though the spark score wasn't what I would have liked. I am NOT recommending others do that. I did it because I have experience trading this instrument.

Anyhow, I was watching these 2 grids in the sidebar. The top is Scalper v2 ... I love a clean chart! Below it are MTF RSM labels and a Chande Momentum Oscillator label.

This is great. I really like how it can if you want to only open a trade during normal market hours and closes the trade on the last bar of the day. Today I was using scalper3 on top of scalper2 and scalper3 seemed to signal 1 three minute bar before scalper 2. The alerts seem to work a lot better also.

I might be doing something really dumb here but

I might be doing something really dumb here but I dont see any fib levels or labels when I import this in, am i supposed to use it as a study or a strategy ?

Can this be used for premarket, and is it setup to buy and sell automatically, what do the yellow candles mean?

Did the devs at TOS update something over the weekend? I cannot get Scalper v2 or v3 to color candles if I select aggregations higher than 4 hours in the settings. Is it just me?

You can adjust the settings in V3.
Indeed. Was just curious if anyone else is experiencing issues as I am encountering the problem with v2 (which lacks the daytime only setting) and v3 when higher aggregations are selected. Wasn't sure if the problem is my installation of TOS or the devs changed something. Not complaining though ... colors aren't a deal breaker.

Best Wishes and Happy Trading!

Hi @Trader Raider!
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Scalper. I have been trying to duplicate the issue that you are describing in hopes of fixing it, but so far I haven't been able to. If you can share some more specifics on your setup, I might have some more luck duplicating the issue and hopefully figuring out how to resolve it. As always, thank you for your feedback! Happy trading @Trader Raider!

I am still using V3 on top of V2 and I noticed I have to let v3 do the candle painting and turn candle painting off on V2.

That's interesting. What's the highest aggregation you're using for v2? For me, if I go 4 hours or higher, that's where the colors seem to have issues painting.

Christopher, you are very kind! Please understand I was/am trying to figure out if there is an issue with my installation of TOS or whether perhaps the devs changed something last weekend. I am NOT complaining or finding fault with my beloved scalper

1st observation: the problem seems to occur more often outside of the US session or during the morning of the US session.
2nd: It seems random in the sense that some instruments are affected and others are not (looking only at futures)
3rd: It seems to affect charts with aggregations (in the scalper v2 settings) of 4 hours or higher.

Example: A 2 min RTY chart with agg times set at 2 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 30 min will plot fine. But change the 30 min agg time to 4 hours or higher and then the colors may plot fine for certain time periods but not for others.

I thought at first it might be related to Monday being a holiday, but I have seen it happen since then, so I really am perplexed as to whether the devs changed something in the software or my TOS is having issues. It just occurred to me to collect my TOS garbage, so I just did that and will see if that solves anything ... apologies in advance if it turns out I wasted your time for something stupid like that

Here is the way to collect garbage if anyone is wondering.
