Confirmation Candles Indicator For ThinkorSwim

Working nights.... TSLA just got hit - bad news concerning deliveries... but its not unlike TSLA to go down and back up $10 in a day. haha.

Anyway I havent adjusted the settings for TSLA (for the TS_V9 ((cyan arrows)) but still bearish signal on the hourly and the 3min... nice.

@Christopher84 @HODL-Lay-HE-hoo! when you change the settings for TS (Strategy), which parameter (of labels) helps to decide the best for the time chosen for a specific ticker.
Say, for /ES (5min) - I see that settings 10 & 1.8 are used based on Christopher shared charts in this thread.
I see that changing atr period/factor changes winners, long profit/short profit/avg per trade/ profit percentile etc. Could you please let me know which specific parameter(like avg per trade or profit percentile etc) is the best one to aim for. I tried changing atr period/factor for SPX and got very good avg per trade but profit percentile is in red.

As for myself: I just change the numbers at random and look at the percent winners for the most part because I will likely not enter a trade if the volume/price action is not there. I trade very short term options and have just recently begun using TS_V9.

Can you share your current setup. Thanks in advance

Forgot to add notice the 104.64 level previous demand zone (light green line) on the hourly ie... expect a bounce... aka exit short position (if it is a short term position)

Thanks for the chart. Can you please explain how you used this 3 minute chart? And how did you use it in conjunction with the one hour chart? Where was your entry on the 3 minute chart?
Yeah I need to sit down and look at all the posts again.. too much info on those charts :)

None of it would happen without my man @Christopher84 a man amongst men. Debating changing my useThinkscript name to Mitchell84 in honor of the great @Christopher84 …. If this post gets 500 likes…?! Haha.
Oops, front ran ya :ROFLMAO: . All seriousness, thank you to Christopher for starting this thread and also Hodl for coming up with his own customized variants. I have been making it a habit to visit this thread daily, so much good info and eternally grateful for everyone involved. Hodl, one quick question if I may? I put two hourly and two three minute charts of your latest shares in here in one grid and they seem to be lagging badly (hourly candles aren't even really moving). It's not my memory usage and this is the only grid I have open. I've never experienced a lag like this with ToS. Have you experienced this at all?

I just used the last two that Hod put in and I am experiencing a lot of lag and chart freezes. My PC is extremely fast as well. Hopefully it will work out.

Hi @HODL-Lay-HE-hoo!,
You are right about Bull Bear Candles repainting until the highest aggregation period closes (after that they stay set). That’s why I like grouping it with TS_v9 strategy which will not repaint. They give a nice read when used together especially when using a higher timeframe chart like the 1 hour TS_v9 strategy to determine the controlling trend. I really appreciate your feedback and work that you’ve done with C3_Max. I have been using it primarily on higher timeframes such as the day or month charts to gauge the trend and find the most significant technical levels. It is tremendously helpful. Happy trading!
Hey Chris, Got a question about the TS_V9. I noticed mine was repainting today. The cyan arrow would appear and on the next candle the direction change and the arrow disappeared. This happened a few times on the 3m TF.
I believe I am using the default settings.

Hi @Sbollapa,
I use the profit and loss and the win percentage to guide my settings. Profit percentile is only looking at the current/open trade in relation to the strategy's previous performance. I hope this helps!

Hi @METAL,
TS_v9 should not repaint after the candle has closed. I would need to know more to isolate what happened. Did you have any other strategies in your study set?
