Watchlist Scans: Static vs Dynamic

I know how to make a scan, then actually run the scan, then save the scan query, then save the scan as a watchlist. I got all that so far, but I was under the impression that if you leave a watchlist open on the left side of the screen, it will update periodically as the scan fires off new symbols that meet the scan criteria. That doesn't seem to be the case. The watchlist of stocks stays static and no new symbols add or subtract. What am I missing, or do I need to reun the scan and resave it as a watchlist?

If you observe the phenomena that you have described.
Please provide your image of your scanner with results
and an image of your watchlist that is blacked out.

1. How often did the watchlist updated

2. I was lagging badly between 10:00 am to 11:00am EST, were you able to check during that period.

3. Do you have any special settings in your laptop to run tos smoothly.

4. I have a MSI stealth gaming laptop with i-9 processor and 64 gigs of memory. I seriously doubt my laptop will be an issue but don't know if gaming laptops are compatible with tos.

Please suggest.

1. There wasn't any significant lag.
ToS never lags more than 7min and usually stays between the 3-4min for updating.

2. You are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
The dynamic watchlist is not for you.
It was not created to provide real-time updating for the scalping timeframes.

Workaround: Narrow down your filters. So your scan returns a more manageable number of results.
Review your results directly from the Scan Hacker.
Hit re-scan to your heart's content.

3. If you believe there is an issue with your ToS settings
a.) click on help
b.) click on system
c.) detach the system overview
d.) adjust the size down to one line.
e.) pin it in a handy dandy place
f.) whenever you see a serious degradation in your free memory, click Collect garbage.

4. Overall, as most of the processes run on the TDA servers; your specific setup has minimal effect.
A good internet connection is obviously critical.

No, that is what the Dynamic Watchlists are for.
And they are contraindicated for your use as they are not designed to update in real-time.
