I am not VIP member yet, however, thinking about subscribing to your discord and obtaining the "buy the dip" indicator. I just wanted to check something before I subscribe to VIP, would you be able to post an example of 1min chart for TSLA, Apple, ZM or whatever else stock you see fit (not penny stocks plz since I am not that educated to trade small caps yet). I wanted to see if Buy the Dip works for day trading as well as swing.

Edit: This thread has gotten very long. Added some info below for easier access to information.

@FreefallJM03 @Sammy800 I'm currently going through the online courses in the TD Education Portal. There are a lot of information to digest and as a beginner I need something to help me identify entry and exit points. I'm only using paper money until I gain some confidence trading with real money. My main struggle right now is how to identify stocks with potentials, my only source right now to identify stocks is watching the news. I'm hoping there is an easier way to get a list of stocks that I can monitor.

Don't worry about stocks to monitor make a list and learn how to trade them. Youtube is your best resource. Give it a year of learning before you dip into the market. Somebody told me once the best Hedge funds on Wall Street are on the other end of the trade. if you can't beat them you are toast.

I use a select group of stocks in a watchlist and I use the reversal indicator as a guide to my entry points, but I set my own exit points based on the stocks previous behavior. Some people have success with the Buy the Dip indicator, but I personally have not. It only selects seriously downtrending stocks for me no matter how I use it and I've considered using it as a shorting strategy, but I'm not really a short trader.
I recommend a minimum of 3 months of trading in a simulator with a strategy before using it no matter how great somebody tells you the strategy is. I'm 73-87% effective in my trades using the reversal indicator and 100% ineffective with Buy the Dip. If you are going to look at using a particular strategy from here, look for somebody that is effectively using that strategy and get tips from them. They can show you how that strategy works best for them and you can try it and maybe even shadow them. Right now, I'm all in cash as I have no picks at the moment and probably won't see a new pick until sometime next week or the week after. My day strategy works great, but even it is giving some false signals over the past week with some of the crazy market mood swings.

are you using it on the daily chart? you kinda sound like you dont know what your doing

Hello.
I'm new to this forum and just signed up for VIP membership. I have seen a lot of the videos of Buy The Dip and take profit indicators but I don't know where to go to get the script for them.
Can someone please point me?
Thank you.

@peterwaldron Take a look at @rad14733's comment above. That being said, I don't see any reason why our indicators would be incompatible with a specific instrument. If you go through this thread, you'll see some comments from our existing VIP members regarding futures trading.

I'm looking for buy/sell indicators for stocks which I typically trade maybe max once-twice a week or monthly. I was considering Buy the dip and/or take profit options but can use only 20 min delayed data, do you think these would be useful? What kind of time frame should be using with these, maybe I should use the conversational model to prevent getting too many signals. I got too many signals when tried MH's and Trend painter versions or then I just did not choose the right time frame for my use.

@bohmer It might help if you were to enlighten us as to what instruments you are currently trading because that would make a difference in the answers for the trade frequency you have described... Otherwise if becomes a "How long is a piece of string?" kind of situation... The more details we have, the better we can assist you...

Yes, it was unfortunately not possible to register an account yet at the moment but the trial can be used if the delay is not a problem. I'm beginner so I would stay with the shares only. Should I consider Tradingview instead if there is real time data for free? I liked TOS as it is application and there are less examples to start with the pinescripts.

@bohmer I'm not sure that any of the platforms offer real time trade data without a fully functional registered account... This has more to do do with regulatory details than anything else...

@bohmer I don't recommend trading in a delayed charting environment. You're better off using a different platform that can offer real-time data.
Hello, is it good to use BTD as confirmation daytrading large caps on shorter timeframes? Like 2 min and 5 min? The BTD percentile looks very interesting as well

@kookie I only use BTD for swing trading, but if you go through this thread, you will see that some of our members are using it for day trading, and it's working for them. I hope that helps.
