I have been playing with the uTs Tape Reader for the last month.
Here is the post with the strategy that I used:
https://usethinkscript.com/threads/uts-tape-reader-for-thinkorswim.12092/#post-104031
Read through the whole thread to get the chart set ups, the possible scans, and watchlists
Finally read through your write up and also loaded up the tape reader on my screen- pretty amazing to watch so much is going on at the same time!
I was going to ask you if there is a video or write up available describing all the label bars, grids and what to look for trade entries, exits or sit on my hands. I did notice some warning signals such as - don’t take new positions or something like that which is great but I’m not sure how to take actions based on everything that’s going on the super busy screens. I’m sure all the info are incredibly valuable for decision making if I know what look for so thought of checking with you if there is a bit more detailed write up on each of the fields and how to use them. Not asking for a strategy - just a “user manual” type would be great.
Tried reading through the codes but I must admit I couldn’t follow the logic so I gave up and decided to ask for clarifications on how to use the beta version of your tape reader. I have a feeling this could be very useful only if I knew how to use the data, relevant info, guidance etc etc. I get that the charts, texts, lower studies and the arrows are important for decision making and suggesting either to take actions or not but I feel like sitting at the pilot’s chair in a jetliner with lots of cool looking screens and controls but I’m not sure how to use the info in the screens.
Please know that I do appreciate your unconditional commitment to helping out traders like us - thank you!
So you know, I will use this tool primarily for /MES or mega cap tech stocks swing trading.
