@ckp No problem. Before you spend all your precious time going over all 51 pages, you should know that this is a repainting indicator. When using it in live trading, you may see the signals continuously disappear until it gets the right top and bottom. It looks great whenever you look at it after-hours, but not so helpful for actual trading. Be aware of the repainting factor before you risk your hard-earned money.

Hello sir...OK, so I tried tenacity11's version and that easy to see/read bubble wasn't there as is in your version. Now I went thru the script on both versions and I discovered that in your version there's mention of Alerts!

"#Alert(condition = buysignal[1] == 0 and buysignal == 1, text = "Buy Signal", sound = Sound.Bell, "alert type" = Alert.BAR);"

but there are no sounds on my platform when the trend is triggered. Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something?

I just would love to be alerted when a potential reverse signal/bar is triggered. Could you please look into it?????? More likely everyone is looking at more then just one chart ....wish the audio alert was working to wake me up and draw attention to, ya know?

@Stock Tradin The modified version with arrows that I linked has the following snippet at the end of the code:

Alert(downArrow, " ", Alert.Bar, Sound.Chimes);
Alert(upArrow, " ", Alert.Bar, Sound.Bell);

This should give you a sound alert for the ticker you're watching on your chart.

Do keep in mind there may be some delay or the alert may not work at all since this is a repainting indicator.

When I populated it with your script it's in RED, in my "Added studies and strategies"....doesn't want to work....bummer.....

Have you read the Alert() function info...??? Take the time to learn... You'll be glad you did in the long run...

I keep one or two browser tabs open to the Learning Center 24/7... Oh, and one here too...

I so wish I could say "I GOT IT!! " but I can't......love the examples etc...good stuff....Maybe someday when I'm a tiny bit more proficient and schooled with script I can or will figure this out myself....not today or next week.....unfortunately. That's why I asked Ben.....

I copied the code exactly from Ben's post 1011...pasted it on the bottom of his:

@Stock Tradin The trend reversal is a public indicator, I didn't create it, you wouldn't violate any rules for posting the code.

@rad14733 We were talking about the alerts code in comment #1011.

Can you post your code as you are testing it...??? It may need to be tweaked to work in your script...

OHHHHHHH ok...cool....it's first script on page 1 then pasted the alert codes on the bottom......saved it with a new name and it came up red.....sorry for all the hassles gentlemen....

No problem... If you open the script for editing does it give an error at the bottom and, if so, what does it say...???

Somehow I can't post pics?!?!?! Anyways....When I paste the script from page 1 then I paste the 2 line script ref the alerts in post 1011....

The "Alert(downArrow," and "Alert(upArrow," are highlighted in red. When I save it then the study shows up in red lettering.....

@Stock Tradin That code snippet (the alerts one) was from the code that @tenacity11 posted. It's from the link I gave you earlier.

It will not work if you paste it directly into the original version of the trend reversal indicator because there were no defined variables for downArrow and upArrow.

AHHHHHHHH....of course. In anyway at your leisure, when time permits, could anyone with way more knowledge then me, could possibly write the audio alert script when the reversal bubble triggers?????? At least for the "Long/green/bottom Reversal" bubble? Would be greatly appreciated ......

@Stock Tradin Sure, but for the time being, why not use the version with the arrows? They're the same. The modified version already has alerts code in it.
