@BenTen You indicated you setup scan for the trend reversal signal indicator by usng upArrow and downArrow. Did you set up as two separate filters and making the condition true? If you can post the screen shot of the scan will be helpful. Thanks.
 
I need to combine these three time frames1hr, 15 min and 2 min into a single chart study showing when the trend lines up in the same live across all time frames. An alert is generated in the 2 minute time frame with a sound alert and an up arrow in up trend and down trend .... can you help me create this script thanks

Ben Can you post the snap shots of scanner settings for this trend reversal indicator -earlier version? Thanks.
 
Someone shared this indicator via a thread on Futures forum. I don't know the original name so I called it the reversal indicator. It uses moving averages, ZigZag pattern, and Fibonacci to generate reversal signals on your chart.

One thing to note is that this indicator will repaint. The Buy and Sell signal will disappear if the candlestick closed above or below the stop loss line. You can use that as a trigger point to cut losses early if that happens.

  • Green = Buy Signal Bars
  • Purple = Neutral
  • Red = Sell Signal Bars

Hi, There - I have noticed that ZigZag Reversal script does erases the signal if the price action takes out the stop loss bar; Is it the same case in the code above. Thank you in advanced. Himan
 
the signals only appear after the candle is formed, and if it is a Short signal, the entry point is at the top of the last candle. hence, by the time you see the signal (10 mins TF), you would be way lower from the entry point. any way to make it show signal Live instead ?

I've installed this indicator and set it up as a scan. The scan is finding stocks that have a Buy Signal Bar, but that buy signal bar can sometimes be as far back as 3 days ago. Is there a way to configure the scan to only show stocks that have a more recent buy signal bar; possibly limit it to the current trading day?

For instance, the scan returned GE as one of the results. That shows a Buy Signal indicator from 3+ days ago.

Any idea why ToS won't let me hit okay and save this scan (ok button is greyed out) and there seems to be an error saying "exactly one plot expected"? No syntax errors. Chart study works fine, but when I copy paste the code from the scan I just can't hit the "ok" button. Help appreciated.

That means there is more then one plot. Go to edit the scan looking on the left and change "plot" to "def" on any plots excluding the main one on the bottom. Also just a warning that this indicator repaints heavily and is in my opinion impossible to use as a trader. Look up what repainting is if your curios, in trend trading delay is your biggest enemy

Appreciate the response. I have actually used this with some decent success. I'm aware of the repaint, which is totally fine. I just take a higher quantity of smaller positions and be strict with my stops, then let the winners run up to a decent resistance level where possible...and for that in the last few days I've combined it with your "ultimate indicator" to give me an idea of where those might be =)

Not flawless but no system is. That's why I'm trying to get the scan working. If I'm making frequent smaller trades then scan alerts help with this. I'll try out your suggestion.

Has anyone figured out how to script this for trading view? and Has anyone figured out how to adjust the script to work for mobile? perhaps arrows instead of bubble?
 
@C4men It;s a holy grail of info and strategies and studies, you name it. I am going through it from last 5 weeks. It's a great place to start if you want to learn to trade. Just one small suggestion, "Have Patience". I am also new like you and still wandering through plethora of information. Keep it simple. Read some @BenTen post for beginners suggestions. Good luck

How can I set up an alert for every time it prints a reversal flag on my chart?
Also, How do I get rid of these white boxes that are labled "c" and "p"? They seem to only show up on the daily chart.
