RSI in Laguerre Time Self Adjusting With Fractal Energy Usage Notes

The above code appears to be some modifications to the original study, it definitely is not from Mobius, the original author or the code. That said, looking within the code, the "C" and "E" you enquired about mark "Consolidation" and "Exhaustion" as indicated by the following two lines within the code

Code:
AddChartBubble(FE_Consolidation, gamma,  "C", COLOR.WHITE);
AddChartBubble(FE_Exhaustion, gamma,  "E", COLOR.WHITE);

Regarding the "dotted" line, that appears to be a plot of gamma which is one of the internal variables. Read @markos post # 19.
From what I can see this is certainly not one of the mainstream versions of the study. That's about all I can glean from a quick overview of the code

Thank you, @tomsk!! I learned a lot from this first post on the forum. (y)
Today was actually a great day to test drive the indicator....it's been interesting!

@HighBredCloud this code is very useful!! thank you very much. is it possible to make scanner of it
I believe there is already a scanner for it...I don't have it as I do not use this particular indicator...It just hasn't clicked with me and IMO there are better indicators out there that hit faster but others swear by it. Use the search option and type Laguerre Time RSI scan or scanner...You should find what you're looking for...Might have to do a bit of digging but I know I've seen it before on here when I was searching for various scans.

@markos Hi Guys,

I have tried to get this scan to work numerous times but continue to get the error "No such function: RSILg_FE_Gssn1 at 1:1" when I tried to change the Aggregation Period from 15 minutes to anything else. It works for 15 minute data, but just will allow no changes. What am I doing wrong? @markos? Thanks a million for any help!

@Hotdog123 Hi and welcome to the useThinkScript community. Are you using the scan that is listed in the first page? Please post the code you are using. Also post a picture, use Imgur.com and select BB Code. What agg did you change to in the scan? The code and a screen shot of your scan set up will help us assist you.

Thanks a bunch for the reply, @markos. I am using the script from Page 1 - importing the link given there ( Scan Code: https://tos.mx/bRLjdq). I was tying to make a change to the pop up screen showing the live scan, which would not allow any input and gave the error. I WAS able to build a scan manually starting from scratch and can change the AGG Period. I was also able to create gadget scans manually and set whatever AGG Period I wanted. So, I am up and running. Don't know why the other way doesn't work, but honestly too busy to worry with it now that things are working OK.

One other question: what would you consider to be the best source for info on using these scans/indicators?

Thanks again for responding so quickly and for all the great info you have posted.

All- I would really appreciate your opinion on the best way to set up a scan for the LaguerreRSI. I am using a daily chart for anchor and a 30 minute for trade signals. Generating buy signals long only, with daily trend.

My question is on the preferred level of gamma in each of the time frames for filtering for best probability of a successful signal. Should I require gamma to be greater than 0.60 for both time frames? Or, just just one? What is the best approach here, in your opinion?

@Hotdog123 Sorry it took so long to get back. The versions used here are based on code written by Mobius. I believe that this thread is where the notes that were captured on how to use the scan and chart. If not this one, there are other threads here that may contain usage notes. Yes, please re-read post #1 & 2 as that's where the notes are.

There is no best way to set up a scan. I have 6 or 8 that I have used over time but they each had specific things that they did. They are proprietary to Theotrade, so I cannot share them. Point being that I don't use them anymore. You are best off using the stocks or Etf's that are most liquid and watch those.

Regarding Gamma: it is only a signal for when not to trade, it is not in and of itself a trading signal, though many use it that way. Gamma that is high means that the product is wound up ready to make a move, up or down. Gamma that is low has signs of an exhausted move. That is really all there is to Gamma with the RSI Laguerre. Your signal will be when the RSI line breaks above 20 with Gamma coming down to go long. Watch it and play with it. It is nuanced and takes time to pick up. It's all about probabilities. If Gamma is high in both Timing chart & signal chart, your break above 20 should be more assured on your 30 minute chart. Hope that helps.
