I mainly trade ORBs, ABCDs, bull flags, flat tops/ascending wedges, EMA/VWAP trends and pullbacks, and reversals. I have a cash account so I only trade long. I enter when the setup presents itself on the right stock (high momentum and volume, especially gappers with news), I keep my stops tight, and I take partial profits at 1 R, 2R, 3R, and then I let it ride. I move my stop loss to breakeven after my first scale out. My stop loss depends on the setup but it's usually just below a key support level like an EMA, VWAP, previous consolidation, etc. I try to enter as close to key levels as possible to keep the risk low, and I've been trying to anticipate breakouts and uptrend continuations before they take off so I maximize profits while minimizing the stop loss distance. Keep in mind that I'm a new trader so I'm still figuring things out but I do believe I'm making great progress. It's incredible to see a pattern setting up, buying in and then watching it take off!Very interesting setup. Can you please also share your entry and exit strategies?
