im a new trader and just really started looking for studies to add. I have found the ORb with fibs but for some reason it wont let me copy the link and paste it. Im not sure if its me or not. I

Thank you #MerryDay. My go to has always been to go to "tools and paste/create" scripts there and for awhile now all I've gotten is a blue line on multiple scripts I've been curious about on this forum. doing it this way all is well.

The ToS Web Version can NOT use the scripts found on this forum.
Scripts on this forum can ONLY be installed into the ToS Desktop app.
Most will not work on the mobile app.


To install code on the desktop platform:

Unfortunately, the ToS Desktop app has a steep learning curve for computer-literate people.
For those without computer experience, it is not recommended as there is nothing intuitive, there is no easy to follow menus, nor a user's manual to follow.

Schwab is recommending the ToS Web Version for those with limited computer experience.
No, you cannot install codes into the Web Version, but it is significantly easier to understand.

If you are saying that you are having an issue with cutting and pasting a script into your app.
Please list the steps that you took.
Like this:
1. Launch ThinkorSwim from your computer
2. Click on Studies (should be near the top right hand corner)
3. Edit Studies > Create
4. Give your indicator a name
5. Copy and paste the thinkScipt code into the thinkScript Editor
6. Click Ok
7. Click Apply

And then explain at what step you are getting error "sixteen"

The orange triangle is a ToS alert that this is a complicated script.
This tells you that this script can be used on your chart.
But there may be difficulty using it in the scanner, watchlists, and conditional orders.

You did not provide enough information to say where you went astray.
However, the most common reason that the "OK" button is grayed out is:
----An issue with your naming convention----
In your case, a wild guess would be that it is a duplicate name.

Try saving the script as xxx123
That will confirm that the problem was with your Title.

After that, re-open the script and change the name.
You can experiment with your naming conventions until you find one that ToS likes.

ToS naming conventions:

cannot start with a number​

cannot contain dashes or other special characters​

cannot contain spaces​

cannot be a duplicate name.​

FYI, did you know that too many custom scripts in your library will slow down the ToS app?

It could be a cut & paste error.
Try cutting and pasting again?

Are you sure you are in the right place?
The indicators in this forum are for the ThinkOrSwim desktop app.

Please provide a complete image, so the error messages at the bottom of the ThinkOrSwim script window can be seen.
