once we have more info, an actual study will be possible.

a study in one environment(chart) can't draw in another. so all of the relevent code from the lower oscillator study will have to be copied and put into an upper study, with additional code added to it to draw the rectangle.

what is the lower study?
there is no way to know just from the image.
can you post the code for the lower study?

to draw something on a chart, you need to know time(bars) and price.

what are the signals/rules that dictate when a box is to be drawn?
the Box in the image doesn't line up to signals in the lower study.

if you want a box above a set of bars, will need to find the highest high of the set of bars, between the start and stop signals. then apply some factor number to raise the box bottom above the bars.

Hello There - Its ThinkOrSwim - SentiMent Zone Oscillator - As it goes above or below certail value just need to plot the boxes instead of Background -- You can take any OSC - just want to show the overbaught - oversold conditions for the BARS - using the BOEX on top or below.

here is a link to what i made.
it draws rectangles on the upper chart, when the SentiMent Zone Oscillator moves beyond over bought or over sold.
