Auto Fib (Fibonacci) Levels Indicator for ThinkorSwim

@zeek per your request, I modified the time range method so that timerange_begin/timerange_end inputs would allow for post close of prior day, current day premarket, and custom user time ranges, with the Fibonacci lines drawn across the entire chart.

@SleepyZ What do I set the settings to so I can have prior days range (regular trading hrs from open to close) fibs drawn on current day chart? I have tried all the indicators on here (there are many for fibs) and no matter which one or how I set it up, I can't get what I want. Will this one work? I just want to plot the prior day fibs on the current day chart.

See if changing the inputs on the above script provide what you want. You can also set the upper and lower extended fibs to yes if the current day is out of range of the prior day.

This seems be something similar I'm looking for.

Does anyone have fib level code in which fib levels will be plotted only from RTH 930Am to 4 pm for current time frame?
( pre/post market data on, however not used to plot fib levels)

Try setting periods back to 0 in above input screen image along with the other settings shown in the image.

I'm not familiar with coding but let me try to change around the numbers to see if they produce setting I'm looking for

Here is the code with the adjustments to the input screen and within the code to see if it meets your request.

Hi SleepyZ, how do you draw Fibline between H and L. I added the following but it did not draw the fibe line

plot HL = if !IsNaN(L) then L else H;
HL.EnableApproximation();
HL.SetLineWeight(3);
HL.SetDefaultColor(Color.PINK);

Add this to bottom of the code and see if it helps

Ruby:
plot lo = if low == rlo then 1 else 0;
plot hi = if high == rhi then 1 else 0;

plot hilo =  if hi then rhi else if lo then low else Double.NaN;
hilo.EnableApproximation();

Hi, I input the entire modified script and the bubbles show up but not the lines. Am I doing it wrong?

Hi, I input the entire modified script and the bubbles show up but not the lines. Am I doing it wrong?

I just checked it and it seems to be plotting correctly.

The input to display only during regular trading hours is defaulted to yes, so that the lines will not show for today until those hours. That is how the person requesting wanted it. Set that input to 'no' to see if the lines show up as you expected. If not, then let me know what symbol and timeframe you are having trouble with.

Does anyone know of an auto Fibonacci indicator that mimics the TOS Fibonacci Tool inside the TOS Charts?

Where it shows the price level, and the percentage?

I see different ones from TOMSK, and Mobius

Folks here is version 1.3 of the Auto Fib study that now displays the bubbles on the right of the chart.
Please ensure that you increase the expansion area to that the bubbles have room to be displayed
Personally I set that to 22 on my chart settings

Chart Settings > Time Axis > Expansion Area

Given several changes to this code from the first time it was posted by @BenTen in 2018, I have created a change log
It details the various modifications to the base code that was made including a really nice cleaned up version from @theelderwand

Hope this helps

Code:
# Auto Fib V1.3
# tomsk
# 11.19.2019

# Automatically draws fibonacci retracements using the highest price and lowest price
# from the current view and timeframe.
#
# Fibonacci retracements use horizontal lines to indicate areas of support or resistance
# at the key Fibonacci levels before it continues in the original direction. These levels
# are created by drawing a trendline between two extreme points and then dividing the
# vertical distance by the key Fibonacci ratios of: 23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%, and 100%.

# CHANGE LOG
#
# V1.0 - 12.18.2018 - BenTen - Initial release of Auto Fib, created by Ryan Hendricks
# V1.1 - 11.15.2019 - theelderwand - As script was difficult to read, made the following enhancements
#                                    Expands to right
#                                    Doesn't expand to left
# Custom colors for Fibonacci bars (0.618 is GOLD color)
#                                    Custom line weights
# Code is modularized so you can add extra plots as needed
# V1.2 - 11.15.2019 - tomsk - Added an input selector for the colors of the label. You
# can select from any of the colors listed - red, orange,
# green, etc and bubbles for all the fib retracements will
#                                    utilize that color.
# V1.3 - 11.19.2019 - tomsk - Modified the AddChartBubbles to be displayed on the right
# side of the chart. Please ensure that you increase the
# expansion area to that the bubbles have room to be displayed
# Chart Settings > Time Axis > Expansion Area

# End Auto Fib v1.3
Woke up this morning to see the Auto Fibs no longer appear on mobile anymore. Anyone else have this same issue?

Whats a good time setting for Fibs? I have 30 days on but I havent found a clear answer on how many days the chart history should have using fibs thanks

Is there a code for auto fib levels to be displayed on 1 year1 day chart, 2 year 1 day chart., etc that can be shown on a 5 min chart or lower time frame? Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for all the work and discussions on this. I love this autofib and use it everyday. This code is based on Fib retracements. But I think if we can develop code for "fib extension" where it can do the price target short or long. I have no coding skills and I appreicate if anyone can help on this.
