A SITTING GAME CHANGER
Unfortunately, there is usually a lot of sitting when trading options in the stock market which is not good for the human body.
I have been sitting and trading the market for many years, and my back and sciatic nerves don’t like trading as much as I do.
Trading can possibly lead to a six-and-a-half-hour daily sedentary lifestyle?
So, what’s the cure?
First of all, I try to get up and take a walk every hour, which helps, but I have found something that is a great addition to this issue. It is called an “elliptical trainer," which sits under my trading desk. It’s something I should have bought a looong time ago.
I have added the elliptical trainer to my regimen at least three to four times during the trading day (in addition to walking). My regimen is thirty minutes the first time, followed by at least two or three segments of fifteen minutes each before the end of market (and I can already tell a big difference after only one week)!
It's a relative cheap form of therapy. Mine was less than $100.
Try one. You might like it, and it doesn’t interfere with trading and might help keep you more alert in the process?!
Is anyone else using one of these?
