WHAT is your definition of Zombies
an operational business that earns just enough revenue to cover basic operating costs and pay the interest on its debts, but not enough to reduce its overall debt principal or fund future growth. There are many that cant even cover operating cost so they will dilute stockholders into dust if rates go higher and hold.

GNRC DNA Post — Re‑Evaluating the Thesis

@merryDay dropped a great summary on Stock DNA
, and as usual it kicked off another round of tinkering on my end. I’ve been building a chart‑based DNA engine (since Schwab gives us almost no fundamental data). It’s still in testing, but the outputs have already changed my stance on GNRC.

A must read!!!!! 🏆🥇
A Stock's DNA --Know Before You Trade In ThinkOrSwim

I’ll publish the full engine soon — here’s the teaser.

Weekly DNA

Regime Shift: Algo Core → Distribution [Bearish Downgrade] The macro structure broke. Institutions are unwinding, not accumulating. This is the long‑term anchor.

Daily DNA (image)

Distribution + Extended From VWAP → Mean‑Reversion Risk Daily confirms weekly: GNRC is stretched enough to bounce, but still in a distribution regime. Bounce ≠ reversal.

Algo Sweep → Counter‑Trend Execution Intraday sweeps are execution flow, not accumulation. They create tradable swings, not trend changes.

Summary

GNRC can bounce, but it’s not reversing. The swing up is temporary, driven by intraday execution inside a macro unwind. The long‑term thesis should wait until weekly DNA flips — not just a price bottom, but a structural regime change.

Chart a bit busy for testing…

GNRC — Swing Consensus Update.

So a little plug for Copilot — I’ve “discussed” GNRC with him before, so he’s mostly aligned with my thought process (kinda, sorta). Like any AI, it’s a tool/pet trained by its handler… and like any program, garbage in = garbage out.

Side notes:

  • @merryDay ’s $180 stop is dead on. Would love to know how she actually calculated that.
  • Test‑driving my DNA project (bottom of chart). Need a few more days of live data before publication, review, scrutiny, etc.
Daily: GNRC remains in Institutional Unwind / Heavy Distribution. Daily volume closed at ~51% of the 10‑day average, confirming that the Thu/Fri ~3% pop was mechanical drift, not structural demand. Daily prints “UP,” but structure stays TRANSITION, pressure stays DOWN, and no demand signature is present. Macro context still shows GNRC as a laggard vs SPY, with mean‑rev risk and no floor.

Interpretation: The 3% move did not alter the swing trend. Daily remains firmly in distribution.

30‑Minute: The 30m shows a Liquidity Grab Down EOD followed by a micro‑cycle re‑rating — classic distribution → algo‑core behavior. Reflex upside after a liquidity harvest, but no break of swing‑relevant supply and no confirmation from daily.

Interpretation: Thu/Fri’s pop came from a liquidity‑harvest → reflex‑markup sequence. Normal behavior inside a downtrend, not a swing reversal.

Consensus:

  • Daily = downtrend intact
  • 30m = liquidity grab → reflex markup
  • Thu/Fri 3% pop = counter‑trend drift inside distribution
  • Swing long thesis = NOT active
  • Monday = reflex continuation → stall → fade unless daily prints demand

BRK/B — Goliath Building a Base (Macro Curiosity Post)

Thought I’d toss this one out — something I caught while testing my accumulation logic.

BRK/B: Not a trading stock, just an interesting structural find.

While running through accumulation tests, I bumped into this behemoth. Started on a 1‑year Daily, then zoomed out to a 15‑year Monthly and threw on a Volume Profile for a deeper dive.

What jumped out:

  • Stealth Base‑Building
  • Accumulation Zone
  • Floor Confirmed
  • Monthly State: Base‑Build + Compression
  • Volume Profile shows two major defended nodes
  • Long‑cycle cost‑basis clustering
  • “Liquidity sponge” behavior — classic Berkshire
Historically, the volume here suggests a high probability that a base is forming. Looks like a lot of folks are quietly parking money at this level — something I expect from a bellwether in a compression phase.

Again, not a trading setup — just a macro curiosity I thought worth sharing.
