The whole game has been changed!

I didn't see anyone post this but only Market orders are $0. Limit orders on Equities are $4.95. And option contracts are $0.65. There are still commissions on certain Mutual Funds. Now make your account a cash account and no PDT rule. TDA knows you'll trade more and they win again. I got this all in a personal message sent to me about a fee reduction request on my part. They granted my request and sent me my new full commission schedule.

I do not believe the $0 for TDA is limited to market orders. Below is a limit order for MCD and $0 commission.

Well as I stated, the commission rate I posted was what I was sent by TDA after I requested a drop in my option contract price.
If what you show is true then I'm sure it will apply to me also. I'll call this week and find out and reply t the board.

The previous comment about money for trading looks like a very bad forecast for the future, lol. Does it really seem so impossible?

Hello everuone I didn't understand much from this thread, but the information looks pretty serious. I became interested in playing the stock market after reading the trilogy "The Financier" by Theodore Dreiser. I really enjoyed reading about how Cowperwood came to decisive decisions and what tricks he used to increase profits. But I doubt that I myself have this vein. The only experience I have is the opportunity to win money playing games. But this is hardly suitable for serious trading, huh. Can you please tell me how to start for a newbie? Is it worth reading some serious literature or is it true that trading can only be learned through practice?
