ToS Platform Rules For Using Bid & Ask

• BID & ASK can be only used in intraday timeframes
• On charts the syntax == close(priceType = "ASK") close(priceType = "BID")
• On watchlists the syntax == ASK() BID() only works with Extended Hours ON
• On scans and conditional orders == no BID or ASK is available

On the ToS platform, tick charts only have open, high, low, and close prices defined.

I was playing around with the Price type setting today and noticed that some of my custom indicators would not show up on the charts if price type was set to bid, ask, or mark. They only work if price type is set to Iast. I found this to be a bit odd. Can anyone share some insite on why this is?

Q.is it at all possible to differentiate the actual bid ask auction. Everyone says it's impossible on ThinkorSwim (believe me I have tried to hack it!) Given the following syntax, I do not understand why the TOS servers keep returning errors when I try to imput typical price using Bid syntax vs Ask syntax
Given that I ask the rhetorical question of those that are similarly limited in their quest for the improbable
