Scanning for Highest / Lowest Within X Bars in ThinkorSwim?

I am trying to build a scan friendly code (e.g. it cannot use [-offset]) which detects a highest/lowest in n bars from the last bar.
In study i can do something like this

Code:
input n=30;
def isLastBar = !IsNaN(close) and IsNaN(close[-1]);
def lastbarrange= if islastbar[-n] then 1 else lastbarrange[1];
def HHrange= if islastbar[-n] then highest(high,n)[-n] else HHRange[1];
def HH= if  high==HHRange then 1 else 0;
addChartBubble( HH,high, "HH");

but not gonna work in scan/custom quote. How to fix that?

What is it you are actually trying to scan for? I think you may be looking for the most recent high to be the highest of the last n=30 bars. If so, you can do it like this:

Ruby:
input n = 30;
plot recentHigh = high >= Highest(high, n);

Here's an example that was returned when that code was used with the scanner. As you can see, the most recent high isn't the highest on the chart, but it is the most recent high looking back n=30 bars.

is it possible to scan for that? Say breaking out above a recent high, like past 20 days)
