hello! - how would i output the graph of a custom study in a register 5 minutes behind the actual time ? i would like to create a graph of the average price of the last 5 mintes placed at the time that is the average of 5 minutes- ie 3. min ago - i do not want the ave price to appear at 0 mintes ago as is the default. I am using a one minute agregation period. thank you!

Solution
You can do it this way:
Code:
input length = 10;

plot ema = MovAvgExponential(close, length);

def midpoint = floor(length / 2);
plot back_shift = ema[-midpoint];
Note that this uses a negative lookback. In this case, it isn't plotting anything on the current bar, only plotting on bars back in time. It's not wise to use it for actionable signals as it looks great on the back-test but can't paint that way in real time. There are loads of threads about future bars around here, but this is the way to go about getting the result you asked for.
