Hello everyone!

If I added

input symbol1="";

which I have to enter the symbol manually. Is there another code I can swap or add in to automatically adjust to the ticker symbol I'm currently viewing? I am finding trouble here and there from entering the symbol manually after switching ticker symbol. At times after I enter the symbol and apply, it actually doesn't apply the symbol and I have to enter it again. If there's a replacement for this line, please inform me. thank you!

Could you explain the primary goal of your script, and why you believe that you need to do this?

Generally, it would be GetSymbol() but this function can not be used as an input default. You don't necessarily need to reference the current symbol though, Close and Close(Symbol = GetSymbol()) are the same thing. All functions will reference the current symbol by default unless instructed to do otherwise.

Alternatively, and depending on the scenario, you could perhaps do something like this;
Ruby:
def Something =
    if GetSymbol() == "SPY" then 1
    else if GetSymbol() == "SPX" then 2
    else 3
;

However, I do not truly know what type of scenario we're trying to handle here, so you may need to clarify.
