how do i use this to trade? i notice sometimes the sell or buy bubble doesn't show up but the bar changes colors, is it still tradeable or what does it mean, how do you use it? thanks

There are different entry points. No, you do not have to wait for a bubble confirmation.
Keep in mind, the shortcoming of supertrends and all moving averages is they are only consistently profitable when an instrument ends up trending higher. In chop and consolidation, the signals will be mixed as you saw today and less reliable.
