Net Change in OI (2)

Hello Community,

I could use a hand troubleshooting this:

def CI_NetChange = volume - (open_interest[0] - open_interest[1]);
def OI_NetChange = open_interest[0] - open_interest[1];
plot ratio = CI_NetChange - OI_NetChange;

if open_interest[0] > open_interest[1]
then color.green
else color.red);
# End Code Previous Days Open Interest Comparison

ALSO... could anyone transcribe this Metastock code for TOS?

(ROC(OI,1,$)/(2*V)+0.50)*100

Future Thanx,

Namor

Solution
So it would look something like this:
Code:
declare lower;

def open_interest = Open_Interest();
def CI_NetChange = volume - (open_interest[0] - open_interest[1]);
def OI_NetChange = open_interest[0] - open_interest[1];
plot ratio = CI_NetChange - OI_NetChange;
ratio.AssignValueColor(if open_interest[0] > open_interest[1] then color.green else color.red);
# End Code Previous Days Open Interest Comparison
I am confused about using the term "ratio" when what is being calculated is a difference. But I am picky about that kind of thing.

And the second bit you asked about like this if you want to use the built in ROC study. You could of course roll your own if you wanted, but I didn't for this post:

plot OI_ROC = (RateOfChange(length = 1, "color norm length" = 1, price = OPEN_INTEREST)/( 2 * VOLUME ) + 0.50 ) * 100;

remember, you'd need the def open_interest from above for this second one to work.

good luck,
