Get volume by barnumber?

Is it possible to get the volume of a candle by barnumber? If so, can one provide a piece of code or a link to another resource that does?

Thanks in advance.

Ruby:
# volume_offset_0

# an offset can be added to a variable to read data from a different bar
# getvalue() can be used to read data from a different bar

def v = volume;

# create a variable to be used as an offset
# i like to use a descriptive variable name for the input
# and sometimes set it = to a short variable name for use in formulas
input volume_from_x_bars_back = 3;
def x = volume_from_x_bars_back;

# use the variable as an offset to read volume, from another bar.
# the default value of 3, will look back 3 bars and read the volume from that bar.
