Coding For Other Than Eastern Time (EST/EDT) In ThinkOrSwim

I live in CST. If an indicator such as this one is set for EST 0930 - 1600, do I need to back off an hour and make it 0830 - 1500? I've done that on a couple of other indicators but the indicator either disappears or malfunctions. My ToS clock is set on Chicago CST time.

All trading is based on EST regardless of where you live so it's best to adjust your trading mind to EST for consistency...

Adjusting your ToS clock to Chicago CST time. Only modifies what you see.
It is provided as a convience so people in other timezones don't have to do mental gymnastics to determine what the local time is.

Therefore adjusting your ToS clock will allow you to plot your local time on your charts.

But it is only cosmetic.

The world actually runs on Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT)..
Scripts are written only written in Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT)..
The data is collected on Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT).. regardless of where in the world the data comes from.

This is why, when you attempt to use something other than Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT) in your scripts; it breaks the code.

Keep your clock set to Chicago CST time if it makes it easier for you.
But all your scripting must use actual market hours.
All data is based on actual market hours.
