you are not permissioned for study filters in ThinkOrSwim

I've been trying to get studies to work in ToS and keep getting a pop-up error message stating I don't have "permissions for study filters"

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've have tried using several of the shared studies with the exact same result. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Per ToS support:
Study and Pattern Filters do not work on the Paper Side of the thinkorswim platform. It is a limitation of the Paper Money platform,. You would have to log into the live side of thinkorswim in order to access the Study Filters Scan.

And thank god due to my complaint you can now switch from live to paper and back and forth on weekends when the maint sign covers the buttons. They have just this week made the "Work in progress" sign on the sign in page smaller so that the buttons are now accessible on TOS. I found a secret way to switch from live to paper and back and forth when the maint sign covers those buttons... and here it is but no longer needed.
But its an old windows trick that you may be able to use in the future...
1. Click on blank space on upper part of the black log in screen. Once
2. Tab down 6 x to take the cursor down to the bottom line on the Panel.
3. Now you can use the right and left arrow to switch back and forth between paper and live.

One more thing if the buttons are covered you won't be able to see them switch so if you hit
the left or right arrow it will change to what ever you were not on. In other words if you were live
and you hit the left or right key it will switch like a toggle.
But here is a better way to tell if you are on paper or live..
Look to the very top of the screen where it say "think or swim" and
see a little star burst on the top left.. when live that starburst is blue
it means Live. when its gold you are in paper money.

I know its not important now since they fixed it.. but you can use this little
trick for future windows that get blocked from view.

I have done a ton of shared TOS items, and never had a problem till now.
Of course as we all know you must be in live mode to build a study in the TOS scan.
So i went live and made my scan including the Study and save it as usual.. and then wired it to a watchlist..
So far all is well, and i expected the scan to be on the non live site as the live and non live are the same..
But lo and behold when i loaded the site in the non live mode, the scan was not there.. I went live again
and made sure it was saved and it was and still worked fine on the live mode.. So mimized the live mode and loaded another copy
of the non live mode.. then went to the live site and using share mode got the url for share then minimize the live site and fired off the
copy of nonlive.. and lo and behold it told me i was not permissioned for studies.. and would not let me load it..
However keep in mind that i have loaded many shared programs containing studies before.. but its the same popup you get
when you try to do a study on the non live site... "You are not permissioned for build ing studies.. Now i know i have done this before.
That is build the study on the live site and save it and it auto shows up on the non live site as expected..
Has anyone experienced this before and have some idea what to do.. I can ask support tomorrow but hope to get it working tonight..

Sadly, You have to log into the live side of thinkorswim in order to access the Study Filters Scans.
Also, the live dynamic watchlist that you "wired" the scan to; can only be accessed on the live ToS
