What Is The Minimum Balance Needed?

Hello! Since you can only get realtime data with a paper trading account with 500 dollars, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to make a live account and pay nothing in but see the realtime data? So having 0 dollars on the account but seeing realtime data. Is that possible?

I've heard rumor that you can call them up, and explain that you're very interested in active trading, and you want to see tos's real time performance prior to opening an account. You can also just fund a real account and take the money back out. I've had multi-year stretches where all my money was with other brokerages and I only had like one dollar in my tos account, and I was never locked out of anything or throttled. Although, these types of accounts might be purged during the Schwab transfer, TDA did that at least during the take over from TOS proper.
