I'm experimenting with daytrading and scalping using both the Yahoo Supertrend and Mobius RSI Laguerre indicators on TOS.
Some of it has been live and most of it is backtested using OnDemand.
I also use Heikin Ashi candles.
I managed to get both indicators close to the 1 min timeframe on the daily and reduce some of the noise, but they're fractionally off in timing likely because I can only use whole numbers in the study settings (unsure if I could further refine it within the code.)
The biggest issues I am encountering is filtering out the noise/whiplash, brief false arrows (mostly from ST) and periods of consolidation. Those issues as you are aware eat at profits.
I noticed that there are so many other flavors of both indicators but I am unclear as to which ones could provide better results. I was hoping that some of you might have better recommendations. Perhaps there really is nothing "better" at solving these issues and perhaps I'm better off changing the period of time? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
