scanning for price

Hello all,

I have been racking my brain and going through thinkorswim's scanner and I can't figure out how to scan for current price above or below the open. Is there a way to scan for the current daily candles price being above it's open or scanning for the current hourly or 4 hour candles price to be above the open of the daily candle?

The only thing I can have found is using High or close and the problem is that with the high being above open, the current price can be lower than the open or with the close, the problem is waiting for the candle to close to get the signal and by then it is too late because the market has closed.

I feel like there isn't a function in thinkscript for this but I could be wrong(hoping I can be proven wrong)

what joshua said.
set scan to day.
plot x = close > open;

when reading current bar close, it doesn't matter the time frame thebars are.

What is the difference between LAST & CLOSE?

LAST is not a variable available in custom studies.
The parts of the candle that are available are: high, low open and close

In many ToS scripts, you will observe the current candle's "close" will update / repaint on every tick until the candle finishes forming.
However, it is not possible to capture those intra-candle movements with a variable such as last.
