Hi guys,
New member here and I've been looking through all of the "RVOL" threads and haven't found specifically what I need.
So intraday I trade on a 2-minute chart, and what I would really like is to have a column on my watchlist that compares today's up to the minute cumulative volume against the cumulative volume up to that same minute for the past 20 trading days. For example, its 10:30 AM, the stock that I am watching has done 2 millions shares of volume cumulative today, and the average volume that stock has done cumulatively by that point of time (10:30) the past 20 trading days is 1 million shares, so what I would want my watchlist column to read would be 2.0, telling me that today the stock's up to the minute cumulative volume compared to its up to the minute 20 day cumulative volume average for that same time sample is twice as much, telling me this stock is in play.
I have a daily RVOL that I look at once the day is completed that tells me how much volume the stock did total on the day vs the last 20 trading days, but that doesn't give me the time based comparison that I need intraday.
I hope that all isn't too wordy, but I wanted to be as specific as possible if I was going to ask for help from you all. Thanks a lot in advance and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
