Relative Strength Stock Scanner

I want to scan for stocks that have greater YTD % change compared to SPY, but somehow it shows me "no such variable" error for the "PercentChg". But after I check, it is a valid variable. May I know how can I resolve this issue?

The thinkscript that I have written in TOS stock scanner is as follow:
Code:
PercentChg is greater than or equal to PercentChg("SPY") within 252 bars

short answer,

try adding ( ) to the end, so it looks like this,
PercentChg()

------------------

error messages are usually confusing and misleading, although they do point to the problem areas.

if you knew the difference between a variable and a study , it would make sense.

it is telling you, that it thinks,
PercentChg is a variable.
before you can...

before you can can use a variable, there has to be a def statement.(or input)
something like,
def PercentChg = 1;

but in this case , that would be wrong.

you are trying to use a study name. but tos doesn't know that.

when referencing a study name, there needs to be () after the study name.

try adding ( ) to the end
PercentChg()
