Referencing other symbols

Hi -

I am building a custom study for the /ES and want to reference the VIX ticker . . . (if the vix is trending up -> buy signal for /ES)

Does anyone know how to make code that references another ticker/timeframe?

to reference another symbol in a study, put the other symbol inside of a price function,

def SPY = Close ("SPY");
