Plotting EMA from different time frame

Hi, I've been wanting to add the 21EMA from 30 min chart to my 5 min chart. How would I go about making a study for that to add to my 5 min chart. Pulling the 21EMA from different time frame such as the 30min? Thanks

you would define a price variable using 2nd aggregation of the desired time period.

something like this,
input agg_period = aggregationPeriod.HOUR;
ded close_agg = close(period = Period);

then put that variable in an average function.

here is an example

Solution
Here ya go.

input Period = AggregationPeriod.Thirty_Min;
input AvgType = AverageType.EXPONENTIAL;
input Length = 21;
plot AVG = MovingAverage(AvgType, close(period = Period), Length);
AVG.SetDefaultColor(Color.cyan);
