Overnight market sentiment

Is there some code that would tell me the overnight sentiment? Either long or short. I would like to know if the overnight sentiment is trending lower, or higher. That would help me to know if I should be buying long or buying short during market hours. Ideally the code would just provide a value indicating up or down. Thanks

sentiment is a vague term.
a program needs specific price parameters , to use in formulas.
can you elaborate on what you would look at to determine sentiment ?
