I see scripts being used for everything under the sun..
is there any section that does scripts in recard to making trade management more interesting, efficient or more fun?
May a better question would be is think script even capable of accessing the data that shows on the monitor page..
For example if you watch the P/L open for say a vertical spread, it changes so fast due to changes in Mark price you cannot tell who is on first...
So is it even possible to access the P/L for a trade and lets say print it into a text file every 5 min so that you can better monitor what is going on...
so instead of it going up and down at a rapid rate it would show a steady change as it gets logged into the text file... and it would be very useful in learning more about the nuts and bolts of the process..
as you would then be able to see that had you sold this ****er at noon today instead of waiting till closeing at 4:00 pm on a 0 dte you would have made $400 vice losing $3,000 tonight at 4:00 when the bell rings..
But of course the problem would be if we do not have access to those numbers like P/L via think script...
It would give such a clear pix of why many sell when the option is at 21 days even though the expire is at 90 days... and you could see the thoudands of times where you would have been better off to sell at 19 days and 4 hours vice 21 days.. So much additional capability would become visible with that sort of tool.
So bottom line does any one know of any tools like thinkscript that would have access to that sort of data..
Thanks for any suggestions.
