MA Watchlist Alert

Hi Folks!

Happy Friday. Can't seem to find this on a thread, but would love if someone can help put this together. looking for a MA or a Hull moving average where when prices is "X" standard deviation close to crossing above i get an alert on Watchlist. So maybe close to crossing, crossing and crossed. All pretty close to the MA.

Also another script where if price is below I get an alert. So downward trend.

Something I can see on watch list, and perhaps get an alert. Thank you.

@tradebook You would be looking for two different things as Custom Watchlist Columns cannot send Alerts... You would need to define "close to crossing" as far as your X... "crosses" and "crosses within x bars" handles the rest... Determine you MA type as well, whether Exponential, Hull, Simple, Weighted, Wilders, or have it selectable... The Alerts can be triggered by the Scan...

So, how much of this are you willing to attempt yourself...??? Looking to learn how to develop these simple pieces of code so you don't need to rely on others...??? It's handy to be able to bang out ad-hoc scans to answer those what-if's... You'll get plenty of help along the way...

Hi Rad, I have attempted this on my own and have not succeeded. I am not good at the coding aspect.

Hull moving average. As far as "close to crossing", i am stuck on this, as i don't know how to measure something getting close to a moving average so was hoping to get some ideas. Not sure if its a percentage thing etc. or how its calculated on think or swim. If it's calculated based on percentage, maybe within 10% of crossing the 50 hull moving average if that is even a thing.

The alert would go on he chart i get that. but looking for a watch list that can let me know when price is close to crossing a moving average or I should start paying attention. If that makes sense. Thank you!
