I am back testing many stocks - The FloatingPL is okay but, makes it harder to compare results of stocks of different prices. For example if I run a strategy for a stock priced at a $10 and had 4 trades profit or 1, 5, 2 and a loss of 2 it would show me with the floatingpl that I made $6. Then ran it for a stock at $100 profit of 10,50,20 and a loss of 20 for a result of $60 - Making the higher price stock look better when in reality they are both the same.
Now for that same stock at $10 my roi would be 10%, 50%, 20% it would show me a Roi of 60%. At $100 my roi would be 10%, 50%, 20% and a loss of 20% for a ROI of 60% this way I can compare the strategy equally among stocks.
