I watched a zoom webinar for an alternative platform and there was an indicator that caught my eye. I've tried to figure out how it works.
I believe it is some type of tick counter. A green line is positive ticks, a red line is negative ticks. It works on any time frame. I found the tick values for the various indices listed as indicators, but I'm not seeing how to get uptick versus downtick for an individual stock. I searched the studies and didn't see anything related to ticks.
I know you can chart using ticks versus time. How do I find the total up ticks and down ticks for a ticker over the period of one bar? If you can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
