How to Change ThinkorSwim Refresh Rate

As you probably know, Dynamic Watchlists built from scans are on a universal delay up to 5 minutes, which means that the only way to get real-time scan results is to manually click the "Scan" button in Stock Hacker.

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically have the Scan button clicked every "X" number of seconds or minutes?

I'd like to be able to have this button automatically clicked every 30 seconds.

I too seek this answer. I would imagine you would have to deploy/program a program outside of TOS but this far exceeds my capabilities.

No there is no exterior or interior method to automatically hit the scan button every "X" number of seconds or minutes.
Schwab has stated that they are committed to providing robust resources to the integrated platform when it launches in 2023 so this resource-related issue should lessen or disappear in the long-term.

I detach the Stock Hacker scan window and keep it beside a chart grid.
I click the scan every couple of mins or so. Unlike selecting the ticker in the watchlist, I have to manually type the ticker in the chart grid based on the scan results. I can probably code an external program to click the scan button every 1min or so, but I think its an overkill for the use case.

It is not a function of the scan hacker to scan every minute. Scan Hacker results are updated every 3 minutes sometimes longer depending on TDA resources load.

The fastest way that I discovered was to make sure scans are close together and flip with the up/down arrows next to your watchlist name -- this refreshes the scan immediately. It's still manual, but it's quicker than some other methods mentioned. I'd upload a picture but it seems the only way to do that is through a url.

Where there is a will there is a way.... The will has to be strong enough to go all the way if the going is tough/complicated/expensive.

There are ways in which you can create a program/setup to click on a specified location (x,y type coordinates) on your computer screen. What you will need to do though is to have the scan page loaded up and not disturbed so that the location of the "scan" button does not change and also not disturb your mouse as that might mess with the auto-clicking of the scan button.

Here is one example of how this might be possible to accomplish and I am sure there are other ways as well, some easier and some even more complicated...

PS: I have not done this for this specific use case but have experience in recording and executing automated test scripts that have utilized this and other similar features....
