Hey guys,

I am plotting a cloud on either side of a horizontal price line drawn on my chart, and I am looking for help coming up with a formula that will keep the cloud looking the same regardless of the price. The problem I am running into is that a dollar on either side of the line will not look the same in a stock in the 100s and one in the 1000s.

Any one can help me come up with a formula that will keep the cloud LOOKING the same regardless of the price range?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for replying, the horizontal like was just an example, I am plotting different levels on my chart and want the cloud to appear under certain conditions. But that part is all done.

Scaling the cloud was the problem. I used the formula from the Point Of Control script from Mobius.

def ATR = HighestAll(if isNaN(close[-1])
then if Average(TrueRange(high, close, low), 4) < 2
then Average(TrueRange(high, close, low), 4)
else 2
else double.nan);

addCloud(pc-ATR, pc+ATR, createColor(150,7,5), createColor(150,7,5));

This does scale the cloud to a plotted line, I wondered if there was a better way to do it.
