Background Color Change In Expansion Area

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to setup a visual alert where the background color changes only in the expansion area based on a conditional statement. Is this possible? Thank you for your help.

yes

assuming signal is on last bar,
(the last bar is when it has a valid price and the next bar does not)
check signal and save it so it exists on future bars.
if signal exists and price is an error, use addcloud() to draw a cloud, from positive infinity to negative infinity.
