# ATR Horizontal line

Hello there, need help, I'm trying to plot a horizontal line that shows the result of the High of the current day or the close of the day before (whichever is higher) minus the ATR (average true range) for the last 10 days.
I'm having trouble defining the ATR, plus I don't know how to make it do the equation with the higher value...

See if this helps. You can turn off the debug label at the input.

Ruby:
``````def hightoday      = high(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY);
def closeyesterday = close(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY)[1];
def atr10days      = Average(TrueRange(high(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY),
close(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY)...``````
close(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY),
low(period = AggregationPeriod.DAY)), 10);
def lineext = if IsNaN(Max(hightoday, closeyesterday) - atr10days)
then lineext[1]
else Max(hightoday, closeyesterday) - atr10days;
plot line   = lineext;
line.SetPaintingStrategy(PaintingStrategy.HORIZONTAL);
line.SetDefaultColor(Color.YELLOW);
input debug = yes;
AddLabel(debug, hightoday + " " + closeyesterday + " " + Max(hightoday, closeyesterday) + " " + atr10days + " " + (Max(hightoday, closeyesterday) - atr10days), Color.WHITE);``````
How to plot a horizontal line on the chart at the ATR level?
input ATRLength = 14;
input averagetype = AverageType.WILDERS;
input BasePeriod = AggregationPeriod.DAY;
input showlabel = yes;
Def ATR = (MovingAverage (averagetype, TrueRange(high(period = BasePeriod)[1], close(period = BasePeriod)[1], low(period = BasePeriod)[1]), ATRLength));
plot line = CLOSE(period = BasePeriod)[1]- ATR;
line.SetDefaultColor(Color.WHITE);
line.SetStyle(Curve.SHORT_DASH);
line.SetLineWeight(1);
