AddChartBubble calculating volume * closing price of an option

Hi there,

Is there a way to create an "AddChartBubble" for options charts that displays the calculated value of the volume * closing price. I would like to just display the calculated value and maybe add a "$" sign before the value if possible. In addition, is there a way to only have the bubble display for volume greater than 500? Thanks!

@wildeye You are probably wanting to use AddLabel() as AddChartBubble() paints for every candle/bar... To add the "$" you would use AsDollars()... The Thinkscript Learning Center is your friend... Bookmark it...!!! The answer to you last question about volume is Yes, and in that case you could use AddChartBubble()...

I think i've figured it out..

AddChartBubble(volume, close, "$" + volume*(close*100), color.blue);

But if i wanted to just display this with volume over 500, is that an if statement?

Sure... The second parameter of the AddChartBubble() is "price location"... Add a small value to the price you are currently using for "price location", in your case it is close, and it will be moved upward by that amount... You could use a def or input variable to make adjustments without editing the function code itself...

def offset = 0.05;
AddChartBubble(volume > 500, close + offset, "$" + volume*(close*100), color.blue);

Thanks, really appreciate it. I noticed when i do the offset it moves it away from the candlesticks but it's hard to trace it back to the specific candlestick. Is there any way of having the bubble remain connected to the candlestick it's associated to? I've uploaded a makeshift drawing of what i'm hoping to achieve haha.

Unfortunately, no... The only additional positioning option is the final parameter which directs the bubble to be painted above or below the candle/bar... If painted below you may need additional logic to subtract rather than add the offset amount...
