Watchlist Sort Order

I created a watchlist based on a scan to get the stocks which are above their SMA10 and had a volume of 500,000 today or yesterday.
A very simple scan. I sort the watchlist by % change descending. This works for a while, but a lot of time on a day the watchlist get sorted by ascending,
so i see the stocks with the biggest decline of the day first. I don´t understand why tos changes the sorting by itself. I did nothing on it.
This is very annoying for me. What i also dislike is that you cannot set up a lot of columns in the watchlist based on custom quotes (for example, 5day change, yestedaychange, monthlychange). You get often an error message and your columns stay empty. This happens most while the market is open. This is the difference to TC 2000 on which i get a better and quicker view on the market, but TC 2000 is limited in indicators.

You are correct.
While yes, you can set the sort on the watchlist column itself; whenever Schwab refresh their servers; you will see dynamic watchlist sorts default to the sort set in the Scan Hacker.

Create a new scan with the scan hacker sort set to: % change descending
@Antares66 I have never had my Watchlists sort order change from where I keep them set... That would be a new one for me...

As for the Custom Watchlist Column limitation, you may need to reduce the number of results in your Watchlists... You don't trade the entire market so why monitor it...??? Over the years my Watchlist columns have shrunk for that very reason... Quite a few years ago I came up with a list of 100 symbols... Then that got reduced to 20 - 25... And then down to 10... And now I only trade SPY but still watch other symbols...

All that said, you either need to reduce the number of symbols, or the number of Custom Watchlist Columns in your watchlist... The current limitation is about 1500 custom cells as I recall...
