Uptrend Signals Vs Downtrend Signals

With my limited experience with ToS and Standard and Custom Indicators, I have realized that the Indicators that signal 'Uptrend' are more succesful then the 'Downtrend' signals by the same indicators. For instance in some Oscillator type indicators the market remains on / near / above the overbought levels for a significant period of time. Even the premium indicators of uTS I have had similar experience.

I am hoping that given the decades of combined experience of traders in this forum, there are some kind of indicators or an approach that gives reliable down signals.

My question is for both Intraday and Daily time frame.

Your question: How To Determine A Reliable Exit?

The issue you’re running into isn’t that “downtrend indicators don’t work.”
It’s that no indicator — up or down — can function as a standalone signal.

Before any indicator can help, you need to know where the stock sits relative to real support and resistance, whether it’s trending or simply pulling back inside a larger trend, and whether the broader market is providing fuel or fighting you.

Intraday, the environment matters even more. TICK, VIX posture, and the behavior of the indices will decide whether a trade has room to breathe or gets instantly absorbed.

Exits aren’t produced by a single red arrow. They come from the loss of support, failed retests, trend breaks, or the invalidation of whatever reason you had for entering in the first place.
