my tos desktop won't load. just the black login window that says installing updates.
called support 800435-9050
they have other reports on this and are working on it
 
There has been no interruption in access to the TDA version of ToS.
The Schwab ToS version has had reported interrupted service this weekend as they have pushed through new builds.

i don't know what this means. i have one install of thinkorswim. i can't get to a login screen, so i can't choose either one

i deleted my usergui folder. restart , no change, won't load

go to schwab web site . log in with schwab acct. , says i am not eligable to to trade?
click somewhere and download tos
rename old tos icon on desktop
install as tos (not schwab) , in a new folder. took 2 minutes to install.
try tos logins, on green login window. don't work
do i want to try schwab? sure
blue login window , log in with schwab info.

so, reinstalling fixed it for me , or coincidently schwab just got things fixed...
i have recently been using the schwab login. my studies show up in this new install

There are now, two versions of the ToS app
Clients who have not migrated to Schwab are still using the old TDA ToS version
Everyone else is using the new Schwab ToS version.

Sounds like you are corrupted and need to do a new install
Create a separate new directory when installing a new instance so to not write over any saved workspaces.

I can't ever afford to be offline, so I always install multiple instances of the ToS app.
If I run into a problem, I can immediately boot up a new, clean version.
It is also the quickest and easiest way to determine if the problem is platform-wide or just with me.
