SPY LEAP option

Hi,

I am planning to take long term options for SPY like 1 year to 2 year expiry date.
Buying in the money is a good idea or what things/Calculations i need to take into consideration before buying spy option.
Please share your suggestions/experiences

@mii If you are looking to hold for a year or two you won't need to select ITM Options... And if you are looking to trade short term an Option Contract that far out ITM would be pricey... I can only see out 366 days max and the Dec 25, 2025 ITM Calls are $51.00 - $292.00... I didn't check the Puts...

Thank you. What would be the best time frame to take spy call after a dip. Usually, people prefer weekly or few months? I was wondering how to calculate and when to sell off if i buy.
