Has anyone built a scanner to look for stocks where short sellers are trapped? I have observed many short squeezes over the years and noticed price makes a large move up in the morning (with a pre market gap) and hovers slightly under VWAP while volume decreases. Then out of nowhere volume begins to increase exponentially and market makers fool the shorts. I would like to create a scanner to identify the point where volume begins to grow exponentially.
