Settings is confusing

Outside of rewriting the input lines to be more specfic, is there a way to insert spaces or lines that divide up sections of your settings screen for those who have studies with many inputs and adjustments or have combined 2-3 studies into one??

Not specifically, no.

You can insert inputs that do nothing and use them as labels/titles, and other things like that.

You can also use #hints to maybe put a (?) bullet point and each section.

There is no actual feature to decorate that screen otherwise.

lines or spaces, no. but you can add dummy variables, to separate input sections.

when combining studies, i change the variable names to start with letters related to that study.
avg1_len , avg1_type,....

I try to make descriptive variable names when used as inputs. Words separated by an underline. The underline won't show up on the input page. Sometimes I set a short variable equal to the long one, for use in formulas. i think underline is the only special character that can be used in a variable name.

input show_signal1_up_arrows = no;
def sig1arr = show_signal1_up_arrows;

sometimes i make a dummy variable to be a spacer between different sections. i tend to use a bunch of o's . it's easy to tell it's not a word, so you don't try to read it and know you don't have to change it.

input ooooooooooo = no;

if a bunch of input variables were numbers, i might use a separator variable and set it = no, because this will have a drop down and look different than a number input.

I try to group number inputs together and yes no's together.

just thought of this,
you could use a bracket input with descriptive words set as the default

input o = { default "Signal 3 input parameters" , "--" };
