Hi All,
I'm a new trader, reading voraciosly for about 2 months. I'm in IT, but i'm a Very Novice Coder. I'm looking for some insight into this idea. I'm sure it's not new, I just can't find it in the shreds. I'm pretty sure everyone is gonna say "volume indicator built in to TOS".... lol. Yeah, I get it. But here's the idea:
Is there a way to track each buyer/seller through the time and sales ticker and put that data into a numerical format? Something like counting all buyers (not dollar amounts, just volume of sells/buys, as the purchase goes through, then putting an average, or percentage based on time, say at 30 seconds? A minute? Maybe specific to what chart you are looking at? Maybe paint the number value green for buying and red for selling? This would give near instant numerical eyesight on which way the flow is going. Maybe use the start of the math at opening bell/(open) then you'd immediately get the two numbers: (green for buying, red for selling), with the numercial numbers designating the volume bought/sold. It might read 45% (in green) 55% (in red) so you would see the flow of the stock direction like a candle but it's numerical? So if the volume holds at an average, then you have the number as an additional indicator for a buy or sell...
Maybe you could shorten the time frame for counting, like use an average of the last minute, or thirty seconds even....
If something like this exists, please point the way! Thoughts?
