Is there a way to have an indefinite crossup alert that only notifies once a day?

There's a few indexes like the VIX where I'm interested in a few price targets, but I don't want to be slammed with repeated notifications as it crosses back and forth over my alert. Is there a simple means of setting more quiet alerts that only trigger when spaced out with time?

While what you are asking is not available, a possible workaround would be to create a silent permanent chart alert? Keep a detached message center in the corner of your screen, so you can see the alerts but not hear them.

Nothing that could be automated. Manually, you could set up a scan of the last 15-30 bars and run it occasionally?

How about having an alert trigger whenever QQQ or SPY crosses their 200DMA? I'm struggling to get this working. Instead I get an alert from TOS each day.

No, a cross alert will only provide an alert when there is a cross. Unless you have some sort of time recursion criteria built-in.

Without seeing your code, it is not possible to say where you went astray.
