Important Parabolic SAR discrepancy doubt

Hi, for those coders that understand how Parabolic SAR was defined by Wilder, there is a clear visual discrepancy between the built-in indicators of thinkorswim and tradingview. Could you please point out which is better representing the original definition and if possible point about the discrepancy? Thanks in advance

thanks for your reply. as interesting as is that discussion at that link, it doesn't really address my question. I have to assume that both tos and tv had enough knowledge to construct correctly the indicator. That said, I understand that each platform has some type of limitations when implementing code which might account for the discrepancy, but I don't have enough knowledge to asses how close each is to the original definition.

The forum is mostly made up of thinkScripters.
Sadly, this might not be the venue for your discussion.
I am quite aware of that, but my question is a bit wider, by using another reference as I suggested, or not, if the implementation that tos did is correct.

The ToS implementation of the Parabolic SAR is popular. Not sure who is qualified to classify it as "correct"

Here are some converted Tradingview indicators. They all have slightly different results.
Not sure if that makes any of them wrong.

Put them on your charts and if one of them enhances your strategy.
That is the one that is "right" for you.

really i appreciate you reply with the references, which show different and interesting ways to implement pSAR.

just to make clear, my question is about which is "closer" to the one defined by its creator, Wilder, and not which is "correct". totally agree that whichever fits better your trading style should be the better choice, independent of how closer or far away from some reference.

the reason for my inquiry is that, professionally and otherwise, i learned that whenever possible, i should always try to check the original source as a reference at least as a way to understanding the reasons that led to it and as well as creating a clearer context to what i am looking after, which is simply to improve entries and exits knowing better the what and why.
